WHIMSICAL WOODS...sneak peak

so a girl walks into a bar..... yep thats actually how this all starts. well lets not get too carried away it was planned and wing night after all....
as I repeatedly mention, nothing compares to conjuring up a collaborative creative photoshoot to fuel my fire.
I'm so lucky to have the relationships I do with my clients, and the one I have with Dayln Sjogren is no exception. I've mentioned in a previous post that she is a recent graduate of artists within academy, and we did a fun shoot to help her portfolio awhile back.
fast forward post graduation and we wanted to play again and see what we could create.
Enter Michelle Gier

There's probably some clever tag line I could write about our first meet and greet but let's leave it at the instant repoire and connection. ...which is considerable with me thinking she was someone else and all and complimented her on her new bangs....duh Tara....wine under the bridge.
Wing night didn't know what hit it with us 3 in the corner of the bar with our instant connection and  vision boards....

What came out of that first meeting at the bar was a "test pilot" of sorts .. A way to ease us into seeing if we are on the same page and might enjoy working together ( my spidie senses knew this was the beginning of a beautiful thing) so we came up a shoot that would fuel us all.
The Setting- outdoors as Michelle is a nature photographer and this was new territory for her
The models- our teenage daughters who love every opportunity to pose in front of the camera so less pressure on us all.
The props- first stop value village! Then on to my closet and tickle trunk.. Who doesn't have one of those?

A WALK INTO THE WOODS
The theme- Whimsical woods
The models-our teenage daughters who needn't any excuse to pose in front of a camera
The setting-brilliant spot scoped out in the middle of okotoks with michelles darling husband dragging a vintage bed into the mix..thanks dale!

SO .....off we went into the woods..sort of..it was right in the center of okotoks
a perfect setting and convenient to do the prep work at home prior to the quick hop in the
car. this is such fun and I certainly do  like a challenge of working in extreme settings without the luxuries of the salon.. Electricity for example.

what a great day, thank you ladies both Michelle Gier and Dayln Sjogren....
                               images will be posted tomorrow

AWE LOOK AT US POSERS AFTER A LONG DAYS WORK

do not make me be serious if I have to be in front of camera!
